Tiger Cubs Wood Block Print By Iwao Akiyama

£950.00

Iwao Akiyama (1921–2014) was a celebrated Japanese artist renowned for his woodblock prints, a medium rooted in traditional Japanese art. This influence is evident in Akiyama's distinctive use of bold lines and expressive forms.

Akiyama's work often focused on themes of nature, spirituality, and human connection, with a particular fondness for depicting owls, which became a recurring motif symbolizing wisdom and serenity.
